Our forefathers had it so "easy"...I'm sure they never ran out of feathers and ink when they had important stuff to document like the Declaration of Independence- they simply wrote stuff down and rolled it up into scrolls. I just want to add that as a former iMac user- and Apple G4 tower too...that head-banging sign applied to their products as well. We had our motherboard replaced 3 times and once the font Times New Roman completely disappeared- and they claimed it wasn't anything faulty with the product. Sure gave Chip and I some heated arguments and reason to look back years later and laugh too. Ahh- gotta love technology sometimes!
